Tourism Sustainability Plan for Destinations (TSPD)

This project is part of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU, through the Sustainable Tourism in Destinations programme.

The Sustainable Tourism Plan “Cerrato Palentino, Cultural Wine Landscape” led by the Provincial Council of Palencia aims to promote a more sustainable, innovative and competitive tourism model. To achieve this, it focuses on three key areas:

• Green transition, supporting the conservation of the landscape and natural environment.

• Digital transformation, incorporating new technologies and management tools.

• Improving competitiveness, strengthening the quality and value of the tourism offer.

Thanks to this programme, a series of initiatives are being developed to showcase the region’s heritage, wine culture and identity, fostering responsible, high-quality tourism and supporting the vitality and future projection of the Cerrato Palentino.
